Add Content To WordPress Featured Images Meta Box

For the last week – I have been without internet! As soon as I could get back online I had a rather meaty looking issue to deal with. with one of my themes – whilst working on it I found this useful blob of code.

add_filter( 'admin_post_thumbnail_html', 'add_featured_image_instruction');
function add_featured_image_instruction( $content ) {
    return $content .= '<p>The Featured Image is an image that is chosen as the representative image for Posts or Pages. Click the link above to add or change the image for this post. </p>';

  1. Hi, looks like something is wrong with the snippet above. It’s all black inside the code, I’ve to highlight the code with my mouse to be able to see the code. Probably need some CSS changes?

    Btw, thanks for the tip. admin_post_thumbnail_html filter is really something I’ve never heard of before.
